Mumbai’s Harbhajan Singh blasts Andrew Symonds, Matthew Hayden ahead of IPL

Mumbai IPL star Harbhajan Singh has stepped up his attacks against Aussies, saying Matthew Hayden and Andrew Symonds thought they were bigger than the game itself.

Mathew Hayden will play for Chennai IPL while Symonds has been bagged by Hyderabad IPL. Matthew Hayden got $375,000 while Andrew Symonds got a whopping $1.3 million in the IPL auction held in Mumbai’s Hilton hotel. Harbhajan Singh was bagged by the Mumbai team for $850,000.

Harbhajan Singh, who was described by Mathew Haden as an obnoxious little weed in a radio interview, told a Mumbai-based newspaper the Indian team management and the BCCI stood by him during the controversies.

Harbhajan Singh also said he faced hostile Australian crowds in every ground he played, with crowds booing and even at times showing the middle finger to him.

But Harbhajan Singh said he enjoyed that and beat them in their own game (sledging).
Harbhajan Singh said Australians, especially Matthew Hayden, Andrew Symonds and even skipper Ricky Ponting were very arrogant in their behaviour, but added that the  Indian team never crossed the limits. Ricky Ponting ($400,000) would play for Kolkata IPL.

Harbhajan Singh also said Ishant Sharma gave a tough time to the Aussies with his pace. Ishant sharma was bagged by Kolkata IPL team for $950,000.

Harbhajan Singh also said sarcastically that he hoped Australian players got a “good welcome”. Are the Australians listening?
