IPL fixes selection process for Under-19 players
The IPL organisers have formalised the selection process for India’s Under-19 players, who won the Under-19 World Cup in Kuala Lumpur recently.
IPL chairman Lalit Modi told a website that the Under-19 players for IPL Twenty20 tournament will have a fixed price of $30,000 and selection would be through a draw of lots.
From next year, the IPL team with the lowest win rate will get the first option to choose, with an option not to pick any players also.
Sixteen Under-19 players would be available for the various IPL teams under this formula.
This also means that the Under-19 players may not necessarily go for their regional teams and that there would be no auction for the young players.
Comment: One has to admit that in the end, the IPL has been great for cricketers. Till now, their only chance was to try and make it to the national team. There was no future in domestic circuit and all the money was for the national team. The privately-owned IPL will break that, and for the first time, allow upcoming cricketers to enjoy some riches.

Hiii ….My name is Abhishek im a local cricketer even i dont have any sports certificates but i have talent as i have scored 8centuries in 1year at domestic tournaments & 2double & 1tripple centuries which i had scored in past 15months in local matches well im a street player but carry potential to be a dynamite if provided with an opportunity as i believe still talent gains more weightage well im a ALL ROUNDER i.e RIGHT HAND BATSMAN+LEG BREAK BOWLER so if derz any concern person looking on dese comments i wud request to please consider my appeal not verbatically but in practicality i can proove it as guys who carry sports certificates easily gets chance for a trial but guy like me who have nothing on name of sports certificate gets neglected so please consider my application for a lifetime trial as i can assure dat i will never dissapoint if given a single opportunity to showcase my potential.
