Delhi’s Akash Chopra all set to play for Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata IPL team
Delhi’s in form opening batsman Aakash Chopra has been reportedly bagged by the Kolkata franchise of IPL, owned by Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla.
Aakash Chopra has scored 1,570 runs for the India A squad and has played Ten test matches for the Indian cricket team.
Aakash Chopra recently hit headlines after he scored a fine 130 of just 140 balls with 18 hits to the fence in Ranji Trophy north zone one-day tournament, against Punjab.
Aakash Chopra mised out to Delhi team mate Virender Sehwag by a whisker for the Australian tour, but would have to be considered for the South Africa series, which has three tests.
The India-South Africa three-Test series begins in Chennai on March 26.
