17 September,2005: Hyoscyamine quick dissolving tablets
for diverticulitis are now available in the US market.
Hyoscyamine Sulfate is an anti-spasmodic/anticholinergic product indicated for the treatment
of diverticulitis and a host of other lower intestinal disorders like spastic colitis, spastic bladder, cystitis, pylorospasm and associated abdominal cramps.
The orally dissolving pills will be utilizing OraQuick delivery system developed by KV Pharmaceutical Company. These tablets disintegrate and dissolve on the tongue within seconds after ingestion. Pills can be taken orally without water.
The delivery system can hold a large "payload" of active drugs and is a durable oral tablet that does not require special packaging requirements.
