SriLankan Airlines launches new
duty free products

SriLankan Airlines has launched
Serendib Treasures, a new range of
duty free products for passengers to
choose from on board its flights.
A SriLankan Airlines source said that
shopping in the unhurried environment
of an aircraft cabin is a popular
pastime among many of SriLankan's
passengers, and on-board sales have
been booming in 2007. The new
collection is yet another means by
which SriLankan Airlines plans to add
value to its passengers' travel.
The airline’s collection has many of
the latest name-brand items, which are
expected to be constantly updated. The
Serendib Treasures collection includes
more than 180 products ranging from
the most sought after fragrances and
cosmetics, to designer watches, name
brand pens, exquisite jeweler, exotic
souvenirs, gift items, and products
for children.
According to officials, the collection
promises something for everyone.
Special discounts on various items,
and gift items with the purchase of
certain products, are also offered.
The Serendib Treasures collection can
also chosen at www.srilankan.aero/dutyfree,
where passengers have the option of
booking products of their choice up to
48 hours prior to their flights, and
avoiding disappointment in the case of
items which may be in high demand.
SriLankan had recently won awards such
as World's Best Airline in a survey of
Economy Class passengers, World's
Friendliest Cabin Staff, first
runner-up for World's Best Cabin
Staff, and Best Overall Inflight
Entertainment (small fleet).
