PARAMOUNT AIRWAYS BANGALORE, CHENNAI, PUNE, GOA FLIGHTS

Paramount Airways to fly Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Goa routes

20 February, 2008:

Growing beyond the south, Madurai-based Paramount Airways has lined up plans to enter western India. Paramount Airways is expected to kick off operations in western India from May 2008.

The airline will add two more 70-seater Embraer planes to its fleet. These aircraft, to be based in Bangalore, will connect Bangalore and Chennai with Pune and Goa. The company also plans to expand operations to other cities in western India. The decision comes after the airline major has established its presence in the south. The company will also increase its presence in the west from early 2009.

The airline also plans to connect Bangalore with Goa, Thiruvananthapuram, Kozikhode, Mangalore, Kochi, and Chennai with Pune. The airline will offer
convenient departure timings and multiple frequencies for the business travelers. The airline believes that it will be able to offer the best connectivity
between smaller cities in the south and western India, such as Coimbatore with Ahmedabad, Madurai with Mumbai, Chennai with Pune and Kochi with
Goa.

Paramount Airways meanwhile has realized that it cannot fly an Airbus A320s on these routes and has decided that the Embraer would be the best option. A report added that the airline currently has flights operating between eight southern Indian cities in the south with five Embraer aircraft. It added that the airline might induct one aircraft every month from April onwards for the next 24 months. It has also been reported that the airline had placed orders for 40 Embraer aircraft in 2005 at a list price of $40 million each, which are expected to be brought in by year 2010.
