EI AI announces more flights and discounts
BY OUR AVIATION CORRESPONDENT
May 16, 2006
EI AI has started direct, non-stop flights from Miami to Tel Aviv. This decision was made after Haim Romano was appointed president and
CEO of EI AI.
Romano said, " With South Florida having a Jewish population second only to New York's in the US, I was determined to have nonstops from
that area. This flight takes about 12 hours to get there and just over 13 [hours] back. Yes, it's long but I knew it would save all the
hassle of flying to JFK or Newark for people living in Florida."
The new flights were started with two flights a week and began on March 28. One flight departs on Tuesday afternoon and arrives
Wednesday morning and the second one departs on Saturday night and arrives on Sunday.
The level of satisfaction of those passengers who traveled on the plane were high. EI AI has a code sharing agreement with Delta Airlines accommodating travellers boarding in the cities of
Atlanta, Cincinnati, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C. to have their luggage automatically transferred to their connecting El Al flight.
EI AI, Israel's national airline, has made arrangements with Dan Hotels Corporation for accommodation facilities. Rafi Baeri, Vice President of Sales & Marketing,Dan Hotels Corporation , said, "Everyone that thinks of Israel thinks El Al when it comes to its airline and Dan when it comes to the country's very own hotel chain. We offer discounts to El Al frequent flyers and with tourism now booming again our Milk and Honey program with El Al will start again."
