Jet Airways set for Heathrow –Ahmedabad service

London, UK to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India flights to be introduced soon.

March 13, 2007:Jet Airways seems to be going places. According to a report, Jet Airways has announced that it will soon launch a new route to Ahmedabad from Heathrow Airport.

According to the report, the airline will commence services in this route on April 3. Jet will fly between the Gujarat capital and London twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays. Further. It will operate an extra weekly flight on Fridays starting May, it said. The carrier at present operates a number of flights from Heathrow Airport to Mumbai, Delhi and Amritsar.

The new service is part of Jet’s expansion plans to tap the enormous potential of Gujarat, which of late has seen an enhanced and steady inflow of investments, said the report quoting the airline top brass. The new route will be flown by the airline's A330-200 aircraft, which offers up to 30 seats in first class and 196 seats in economy class, it added.

Jet Airways serves cities throughout India and Pakistan and has International flights to London.
