Kingfisher starts direct flights
to Nagpur, Indore and Guwahati from
Mumbai
BY OUR AVIATION CORRESPONDENT
April 24, 2007: In keeping
with the tag of being the country’s
fastest growing airline, the Vijay
Mallya-promoted Kingfisher Airlines
has begun operating direct flights
from Mumbai to Nagpur, Indore and
Guwahati. With this, Kingfisher
Airlines now connects 28 cities with
163 flights a day operating a fleet of
26 aircraft.
The most unique part of the new
development is that the Mumbai-Guwahati
flight will be the longest non-stop
flight offered by Kingfisher Airlines.
The flying time between Mumbai and
Guwahati would be approximately 3
hours and 30 minutes, said a report.
Meanwhile, the new services between
Mumbai and Nagpur as well as Mumbai
and Indore will prove to benefit
travelers from Bhopal and Raipur as
well. This, because, Nagpur and Indore
are the nearest cities offering
airport facilities to passengers from
Bhopal and Raipur.
The new services, according to
reports, mark the introduction of
Kingfisher’s presence in the skies
above Nagpur and Indore. The launch of
the new routes, has been explaibned by
the airline top brass as reaffirming
its commitment toward addressing the
needs of its guests by providing
connectivity between the commercial
capital of the country and other
cities that are rapidly emerging as
centres of economic activity.
Kingfisher Airlines aims at getting to
the position of market leader by year
2010.
