Kingfisher Airlines' Trivandrum-Chennai daily direct flight launchedKingfisher Airlines to start daily non-stop flights from Thiruvananthaprum to Chennai from March 1, 2008.1 March, 2008: Kingfisher Airlines will launch daily non-stop flights connecting Thiruvananthapuram with Chennai. The new flights are scheduled to start on March 1, 2008, and will be operated using a brand new ATR aircraft with Kingfisher Class featuring gourmet cuisine and world class service. Currently, Kingfisher Airlines connects Thiruvananthapuram with Bangalore, Goa, Mangalore, Kochi, Kozhikode, and Tirupathi. With the launch of these new services, Kingfisher Airlines will have 238 departures a day with a route network serving 41 destinations with a fleet of 39 brand new aircraft. The total number of weekly flights operated by Kingfisher Airlines across its entire route network goes up to 1656 with 4 flights operating out of Thiruvananthapuram. Commenting on the launch of yet another series of new sectors, Siva Ramachandran, Vice President–Global Sales, Kingfisher Airlines Limited said, "The launch of new flights connecting Thiruvananthapuram with Chennai will ensure that travelers between these two cities can now experience India's favorite airline and enjoy the convenience of daily direct flights. This new service connecting Thiruvananthapuram to Chennai will provide those with day business in Thiruvananthapuram with an option to return to Chennai in the evening. This service will also help a number of international travelers since it offers excellent onward connections for guests using Chennai as a gateway for travel abroad.
