Kingfisher Airlines' Trivandrum-Chennai daily direct flight launched

Kingfisher Airlines to start daily non-stop flights from Thiruvananthaprum to Chennai from March 1, 2008.

Kingfisher Airlines will launch daily non-stop flights connecting Thiruvananthapuram with Chennai.

The new flights are scheduled to start on March 1, 2008, and will be operated using a brand new ATR aircraft with Kingfisher Class featuring gourmet cuisine and world class service.

Currently, Kingfisher Airlines connects Thiruvananthapuram with Bangalore, Goa, Mangalore, Kochi, Kozhikode, and Tirupathi. With the launch of these new services, Kingfisher Airlines will have 238 departures a day with a route network serving 41 destinations with a fleet of 39 brand new aircraft. The total number of weekly flights operated by Kingfisher Airlines across its entire route network goes up to 1656 with 4 flights operating out of Thiruvananthapuram.

This new service connecting Thiruvananthapuram to Chennai will provide those with day business in Thiruvananthapuram with an option to return to Chennai in the evening.
