Jet Airways to sell tour packages at Incredible India Travel Fair

Jet Airways is looking at selling at least 300 tour packages and 500 air tickets at the Incredible India Travel Fair, which is being organized jointly by Jet and India Tourism in Malaysia.

Jet currently operates over 340 flights daily to 44 destinations within India, while its long haul destinations include Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London, Bangkok, Colombo, Kathmandu, Brussels, New York, and Toronto.

Its expansion plans in 2007-2008 include flights to Johannesburg, South Africa, and Mumbai. Jet Airways' share of India's domestic aviation market has increased to over 43 per cent, which is more than any other Indian domestic operator's market share.

The Incredible India Travel fair will feature tour packages and standalone air tickets to India at special rates. The fair, which will be held from Sept 11-13, 2007, in Kuala Lumpur, is expected to attract some 2,000 visitors.

The aim of the Incredible India Travel Fair is to promote India as a destination for Malaysian tourists and to introduce Jet Airways as the preferred airline for travel to and within India. Jet Airways looks to become one of the top five airlines in the world.

Malaysia which has always maintained close ties with India aims to further strengthen the relationship through the conduct of the Incredible India Travel Fair. Jet Airways, in turn, seeks to be part of the strengthening and enriching of these ties.
