Jet Airways to launch flights from Bahrain to all of India18 December, 2007: Each of India’s large city will soon be a Jet Air destination and most of them might take off from the Middle Eastern nation of Bahrain. Jet Airways is said to be planning to operate direct services to almost all of India's large cities. According to reports, the airline has already lined up world-class services from Bahrain stating January 5, 2008 to destinations like Mumbai and Kochi. Jet Airways will start a flight a day to Mumbai and Kochi, from Bahrain, both of which will be non-stop operations, it has been reported. The report added that the 14 flights every week will operate state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 aircraft, in the configuration of 124 economy and 16 business class seats. The fares would be around 10 per cent less than that of Gulf Air. As soon as the Bahrain to Mumbai and Kochi flights take off, the airline will start flying from the Middle Eastern kingdom to New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore . However, this would depend on clearance from India's Civil Aviation bosses, it added. The decision comes as a result of the green signal accorded to the airline giant by the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation to fly to Bahrain. It may be recalled that the ministry had allocated as many s 2,100 seats every week for Jet's Bahrain operations. reports added that of these, a total of 1,050 seats have been allocated for Kochi and the rest to Mumbai. The reports also said that Jet Air would go ahead with full-service flights initially. Later on it s expected that the company might bring in its budget airline subsidiary Jet Lite for low cost services, it is believed. According to the planned schedule, a Jet flight has been charted as arriving early morning in Mumbai, at 3.50am. This has been done so as to connect to all of Jet Airways' destinations within India.
