JET AIRWAYS WINS AVION AWARD |
Jet Airways wins Avion award

Jet Airways has won the prestigious
Avion Award for Best overall in-flight
entertainment (IFE) for small
airlines, at the 19th annual Avion
Awards 2007. Jet Airways has won the
award for the second consecutive year.
Jet Airways was picked for the award
for its commitment to excellence in
creating one of the most comprehensive
in-flight entertainment systems in the
world with some of the most special
programming features. The award
ceremony took place during the 28th
annual conference and exhibition of
the World Airline Entertainment
Association on September 17, 2007 in
Toronto, Canada.
A report said that Skytrax, airline
passenger opinion studies major,
assessed Jet Airways' on-flight
entertainment experiences, and picked
it as the winner from a two-month long
survey of more than 36,000 airline
passengers worldwide.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Jet Airways
Naresh Goyal was awarded the
prestigious TATA AIG - Lifetime
Achievement Award at the closing
ceremony of the TAFI (Travel Agents’
Federation of India) International
Travel Convention 2007 Abacus-TAFI
Awards Nite on September 8, 2007 in
Malaysia.
Goyal was nominated for the award for
being a ‘true trendsetter,’ ‘an
achiever’ and ‘someone who has made
significant contributions to the
travel and tourism industry in India.’
