Finnair to increase number of Asian flights
Additional flights between Helsinki and Osaka on cards.

Finnair is to introduce an additional flight between Helsinki and Osaka during the peak season of July-October, increasing its total number of flights to Osaka to six. The airline will also add a flight to Hong Kong during the period, making its total number of flights to five a week.
Finnair will fly to Osaka on the every day of the week, except Saturdays, and return flights on all days, except Sunday. It will fly to Hong Kong on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with return flights Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The routes will be flown with Boeing MD-11 aircraft, Finnair said in a statement. It will also add a direct route for the summer to Hong Kong, in addition to its existing flights to Shanghai and Guangzhou. Finnair will start operating Hong Kong route in May with three flights a week.
This direct flight is expected to reduce travel time to Hong Kong by four hours. It also meets the increased the traveller demand during the season, the airline said in a statement. Similarly, flights to Shanghai will be operated daily instead of the present five times a week. Guangzhou frequencies will rise from three to four between July and October.
