United Airlines plans to expand its flights to Hawaii. It will fly to two more cities and will hire 100 more people in the Hawaiian islands.
United Airlines will start its flights to Honolulu from Seattle and San Diego on Friday. This is surely expected to bring stiff competition for Hawaiian Airlines.
United Airlines said, "To meet the needs of its customers, United plans to fill 100 additional positions in Hawaii. The airline will begin recruiting for positions in customer service, ramp service and reservations sales and service on May 15."
United Airlines will operate its Seattle and San Diego flights to Honolulu on weekends. The service will be operational from June 8. United Airline will add three daily flights from Los Angeles, one each to Lihue, Kona and Kahului.
Currently, United Airlines flies to Hawaii than any other airliner. It also said that it will increase its summer services with 21 weekly flights to Hawaii thus making its tally to 227 weekly flights.
