American Airlines starts Chicago-Shanghai flights

American Airlines has started its daily non-stop flight from Chicago O'Hare International Airport to Shanghai Pu Dong International Airport in Shanghai, China. The flights came into effect from Sunday, April 2.

A new Boeing-700 200 will be used for the service with its 245 seat aircraft, the largest in its fleet. American Airlines is celebrating the 80th year of operations and the new service is part of this celebration.

As part of the new flights, the airline has offered some new plans for those travelling between April3 and June 30, 2006. The scheme is applicable only for those flying round trip and the scheme promises to
earn thousands of AAdvantage bonus miles with promotion code AAPVG.

The Chicago-Shanghai Pu Dong flight timings will be as follows.
