Chengdu flights via China Southern-KLM code-sharing
China Southern Airlines expands
code share agreement with KLM Royal
Dutch Airlines.

China's largest airline, China Southern Airlines expanded its code share agreement with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. It will now include Boeing-777 in its flight between Chengdu, China and Amsterdam. China
Southern Airlines has China's most technologically advanced aircraft fleet.
The Chengdu-Amsterdam flight will be operated by KLM, but the seats will go to China Southern Airlines. It is applicable for those flights from Chengdu or connecting from China Southern's new hub at new Baiyun
International Airport in Guangzhou.
As a result of this code sharing agreement, the first direct connection to Europe has taken shape.

In a way, this agreement expands China Southern's European flight from Amsterdam to four destinations in China, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai.
KLM will operate the new Boeing -777 twice weekly with number KL 891. The service will be available on Wednesdays and Sundays from Schipol at 20.40 hrs and will reach Chengdu at 12.30 hrs the next day. On
Thursdays and Mondays the flight will operate back under the number KL 892 departing at 14.00 hrs reaching Amsterdam the same day at 18.45 hrs.
In 2005, the passengers at the Shuangliu International Airport in Chengdu were almost 13 million. This is an increase of 2.2 million from 2004. The Chengdu airport is starting the construction of a second runway as the airport has now become a major hub in the region.
