American Airlines launches flights between New York City and Nevis, St Kitts

11 May, 2007: American Airlines is all set to launch flights between New York city and the Carribean islands. Starting from November 18 onwards, American Airlines will start flights from New York city to St Kitts and Nevis islands.

This new service between St Kitts and Nevis islands on the Carribean will make American Airlines the first carrier to offer non-stop flights between the two destinations. The islands of St Kitts and Nevis are located to the south-east of Puerto Rico and west of Antigua.

American Airlines will operate Boeing 757 flights on the New York city-Nevis, St Kitts sector on Wednesday and Sundays, serving the routes twice per week.

Chuck Imhof, Vice President of Passenger Sales for Greater New York, said, "Earlier this year we made it clear that American Airlines intends to be the preferred airline in New York, and our new nonstop service to St Kitts and Nevis is part of that commitment."

The American Airlines flight to the Carribean from the New York city will be called the flight 2051 and will carry up to 188 travellers. The flight will leave the New York city at 10:45am and will touch the Carribean island at 3:55pm, local time. The return flight flight 2052 will depart the Carribean island at 5:05pm for an 8:30pm return to New York.
