New Abu Dhabi - Bangkok flights from Etihad Airways

May 31, 2006

Etihad Airways has decided to hike its flight frequency in the Abu Dhabi - Bangkok route. From June 4 onwards, it will start two daily flights. Etihad Airways, the national airline of UAE will use a Boeing 777-330ER plane for the Abu Dhabi - Bangkok flight.

Etihad Airways had started its Bangkok flights in April 2004 with four weekly flights which was then increased to daily flights in 2005.

As of now, Etihad is operating 10 flights a week between Abu Dhabi and Bangkok which is set to increase to 14 a week with the introduction of new flights. In a press statement, the airline said that there is high demand for the route from both commercial and leisure sectors.

Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saif Al Nahyan, chairman, Etihad Airways said, "Flying with Etihad to Bangkok emphasises our development as an international airline, because many of our guests to Thailand will be starting their journeys from our European destination cities such as London, Munich or Paris."

Etihad Airways has high class features like high-speed broadband wireless internet access in both Coral and Pearl zones.
