The third round of foreign secretary level talks

The third round of foreign secretary level talks between India and Pakistan began in Hyderabad House, New Delhi on Tuesday.

While the Indian side is led by Shiv Shankar Menon, the 13-member Pakistan delegation is being led by his counterpart Riaz Mohammad Khan.

The second round of talks between the two countries was held in last October in Islamabad.

While India is likely to raise the issue of Pakistan's commitment of curbing terrorist activities against India launched by the ISI-sponsored terrorist organisations, Pakistan is keen on clinching the Siachen issue.

"We would put forward the evidence before the Pakistani side of its involvement in various bomb blasts since Diwali last year and Pakistan to investigate the leads that need to be investigated on the other side of the border," an official of the Foreign Ministry told newsmen in New Delhi couple of days back.

India wants to test Pakistan's commitment that it had made in Havana during talks between Dr Singh and Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on joint mechanism to fight terror.
