After the successive launch of the Civic Hybrid, many car manufacturers are planning to launch hybrid cars in the Indian market.

One of them is the Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) which is all set to introduce a start-stop option of its Scorpio diesel-electric hybrid by this year end. The Hybrid version of the Bolero is also in the lineup, this model will be a start-stop as well. The start-stop option in the engine assists it to shuts off and restarts automatically. The hybrid vehicle is equipped with other special features like the regenerative braking, electric launch and torque supplementation by an electric motor.
