After Michelle Obama and Barack Obama, it is now the turn of the Obama offspring, Sasha and Malia Obama to be treated like celebrities in their own right.

From now on , the intense interest in what the first couple wear, how they spend their leisure time, and organize their lives will extend to the First Daughters as well. The craze has already begun.

Malia Obama, 10, had worn a red Biscotti dress on Election day, that has led to a frenzy among retailers to stock the product.
Meanwhile, other dress manufacturers are trying to cash in on the interest in the Obama wardrobe.
Gerson & Gerson Inc. was quoted as saying that they have been calling retailers to tell them the dress that Sasha Obama wore on Election day was theirs. It added that they have sold out of the dress.

President-elect Barack Obama’s eldest daughter, Malia Obama, was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 4, 1998. Malia Obama, who entered the fifth grade in 2008, studies at the private University of Chicago Laboratory School in Chicago.

Now that the first family will move to the White House, the Obamas are scouting for good schools in the area.
Malia Obama, described by Barack Obama as Little Ms. Articulate, comes across as a well-adjusted child in her interviews.

In one of her interviews, Barack said Malia often gives him tips on fashion and etiquette.
Malia added in the interview that once her father shook hands with a kid who had come home, so she told him “You really don’t shake kids’ hands that much…You just wave or say hi.”
Malia loves playing soccer. In fact in October 2008, in the middle of the campaign, Barack Obama turned up for Malia Obama’s soccer game. Malia’s red jersey team won that night.

The 6th picture is actually Malia at a younger age – not Sasha. This was around 4 years ago when Malia was around 6 years old. This was when Barack took the oath of office as a senator.

God Bless the Obama Family. Great pictures. Their daughters are beautiful and fashionable. In them I see my own daughter, Eileen. My daughter is 9 and resembles Malia. All in all, the Obama Family is a great role model for us parents to follow, and children to emulate.

The Obama victory and family has redeemed the blacks in the world. It marked the end of low self esteem amongst the blacks. But even if a potion of people out there are bothered of his colour, Mr. Obama is too brilliant to be hated. He deserved what God has bestowed on him. This is a testimony to all man kind, God has a plan for each one of us, lets strive hard, with love and prayers, in one way or the other, miracles will come our way. I adore this great man Obama, up to now am still extremely thrilled, just a mention of his name revitalizes the potential in me. I keep reading and listening to any news regarding his administration, everyday and night. God bless the Obama family.I pray God blesses me with such a caring husband. I lost my Dad when I was just three years old, I missed what Obama is doing to his kids, I keep checking their pictures and in all instances, tears role down my cheeks…..To Malia and Sasha, please do your best to please your parents. God bless you.

I love the Obama family….especially Michelle Obama. She is my mentor and I would love to meet her. She really gives young black women something to look up to. She really makes me proud to be a black woman. I think its great they decided to make the White House the People’s House…I just hate I live down South….
