Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is the ‘Sexiest Movie Star Ever.’
Angelina topped a list of 100 movie stars in a poll conducted by Empire magazine to find the ‘most beautiful star of the silver screen.’ The website asked users to name the star they feel is the sexiest irrespective of whether the star was still in the movies or not. Nearly 20,000 users cast their vote.
Angelina Jolie, star of Beowulf and The Tomb Raider and partner of actor Brad Pitt (who stood at No. 7), was chosen for her “pneumatic figure, feline eyes and lips that could have been stung by several hives of bees.”
The Empire magazine wrote about Angelina Jolie, “Jolie seems to have been precision-built to turn cinema audiences into drooling wrecks. The pneumatic figure, the feline eyes, the lips that could have been stung by several hives of bees. Simply unimprovable.”
She narrowly beat Natalie Portman, who came second. Natalie had made baldness “sexy” in the movie V for Vendetta and performed a “raunchy” pole-dancing scene in Closer.
Daniel Craig, who played James Bond in Casino Royale, took the third spot.
Fourth came Jessica Alba, of Fantastic Four, and Johnny Depp, star of Pirates of the Caribbean, was fifth.
Matt Damon, who was recently voted ‘Sexiest Man Alive for 2007’ by People magazine, took the 17th position in the survey.
Daniel Radcliffe, who played the titular hero in the Harry Potter series, was ranked 23rd in the survey.
Meanwhile, Christian Bale, Kate Winslet, Orlando Bloom, Kate Beckinsale and Clive Owen made it to the top 25.
Penelope Cruz, famous for her role in Volver, took 50th spot.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead, actress of Die Hard 4.0, came last – at the 100th place.

Some of the celebrated Hollywood stars of yesteryears also found a place in the list – including Marilyn Monroe (No. 14), Lauren Bacall (No. 71), Rita Hayworth (No. 59,) Cary Grant (No. 48), Clark Gable (No. 50), and Lauren Bacall (No. 71).
Meanwhile, Pamela Anderson, the sexy star of the television series Baywatch, has been chosen by AOL as the TV’s Sexiest Woman Ever.’
Pamela Anderson was described as a “knockout blonde who wears a bathing suit and bounces around as she saves lives.”
She topped 49 other women, including Lynda Carter, of Wonder Woman.
