Jackson had completed the work on these songs before his death. Jackie Jackson, one of the singer’s older brothers, is also working on the project.
According to Jackson’s former manager Frank DiLeo, Jackson’s vaults contain more than 100 unreleased songs, including collaborations with Akon, and Ne-Yo. John McClain, one of the two names in Jackson’s will, is also working on the album with Jackie Jackson. McClain owns a recording studio in Hollywood.
Jackson estate has in the meanwhile confirmed a seven-year deal that they’ve signed with Sony Music in March 10. The new record will be the first in a 10-project, $250-million worth deal. As per the deal, Sony also bagged the rights for reissue of Jackson’s classic albums, greatest hits sets, a DVD collection of Jackson’s music videos and an expected collaboration with circus troupe Cirque du Soleil.
According to former Sony Music CEO Tommy Mottola, every time Jackson recorded, he over-recorded. He would record anywhere from 20 to 30 songs for each album .Any of them can be an ever-time hit. A CNN report has quoted a producer as saying that a fine stock of Michael Jackson’s music files stored on a hard drive at a Hollywood studio during the months after Jackson’s death, has been found. The producer had since made a backup copy of the 40 gigabytes of Jackson music and handed it over to the Jackson estate. He preferred staying anonymous because of the sensitivity of the matter.
After the great singer’s death, yet another computer hard drive with music was found in Michael Jackson’s rented mansion. One of the members in the Jackson family had handed over the hard drive over to the Jackson estate later on. With the November 10 posthumous release of the new album coming up, fans look forward to seeing and listening more of their favorite hero.?
