I don't understand why Mothers always get blamed for their children's mistakes. Children must take responsibility for their own actions and take ownership of their own lives. I believe Lynne is being treated unfairly as their are no perfect parents as their "Bad Childhood Good Life". I am going through something similar with my thirty year old son who refuses to take responsibility for his own actions and is using his own son to hurt me. I haven't been able to see my grandson because that is his way of trying to hurt me. I have gone through some really tough times and being blamed for your children's mistakes is something no mother should have to go through. I read this book and thought it was fabulous!
