Pop star Britney Spears, say
reports, is desperately seeking to
reunite with ex-husband Kevin
Federline since she sees it as the
only way to make him
drop the custody battle for their two
kids.
On his part, Kevin Federline, who is
said to be dating Playboy star Nicole
Narain, has snubbed Britney, telling
her that he has no plans to get back
with her.
“Britney is bouncing off the walls
with rage and has been calling Kev day
and night to check he’s not with
Nicole,” News of the World quoted a
source as saying. “She’s desperately
jealous and wants to keep Kevin’s
attention on her. She wants him back.
She thinks that, by getting Kevin
back, he’ll drop the custody battle –
but that’s not going to happen,” the
source went on.
Meanwhile, a distressed Britney
Spears, who has been ordered by court
to take psychological tests, is also
contemplating fleeing to Cuba with her
two
sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden
James, 1.
“She’s crying all the time. It’s not
the first time she's been suicidal.
She’s terrified of losing her sons.
There are no extradition laws in Cuba,
so she thinks it’s her only hope,” the
source added.
It was Britney Spears’ former
bodyguard, Tony Barretto, who gave
damning evidence against her, at her
custody hearing, by revealing how the
singer’s drug-taking and weird
behaviour made him fear for the safety
of her children.
It was Barretto’s testimony that was
crucial in a judge ordering Britney
Spears to undergo drug testing twice a
week.
Tony Barretto, who was one of several
bodyguards hired when Britney Spears
checked out of a rehabilitation clinic
in March 2007, revealed that she had
overdosed in a hotel room with lover
Howie Day soon after leaving rehab and
had been under the influence of drugs
while looking after her children.
Baretto also said that Britney had
snorted cocaine over two nights at a
Los Angeles nightclub and had
considered suicide after her split
from Kevin Federline, which had
reduced her to hysterical bouts of
screaming and sobbing.
Barretto’s testimony, in the battle
between Britney Spears and Kevin
Federline for the custody of their two
sons, has been kept under seal by the
judge. However, in a series of
interviews, the 27-year-old bodyguard
revealed that he acted out of fear for
the children and not because he had
been fired.
