The Standard Chartered Air Sahara Gold Card
The card is, as the saying goes, is tailor-made for the jet-setter in you. This essentially means that the benefits are basically in the form of travel incentives. This would translate into taking you r companion with you for free when you fly on Air Sahara or taking your children with you when you fly with your spouse, again for free. The secondary or voucher tickets would be one-way or return, depending on whether the ticket is one-way or return. Complimentary upgrade to business class on Air Sahara again would not be a surprise anymore with the card. The card enrolls you to the Cosmos-Air Sahara flier programme, thereby earning you earning you air miles even while you are not traveling, by just spending through the card. The cosmos miles again can be redeemed for Sahara air tickets. Access to Air Sahara Business Royale Airport Lounges with complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages comes with the card. A priority check-in at Sahara Royale business class counters and complimentary allowance for excess baggage up to 30 kgs are supplementary features of the card. The Standard Chartered Executive Card
For professionals on the move, this is The Card. The travel protection plan attached to this would mean that for lost checked in baggage you earn an amount of up to $ 1200. If baggage is not received within three hours of arrival of an international flight and 6 hours of arrival of a domestic flight, you get a sum of up to $ 300. If there is a delay in departure for 12 hours or more you gain a consolation of $300 and loss of passport or visa while traveling abroad would get you $375. The hijack risk coverage would mean you would get a maximum of $6000 at the rate $250 per hour, for a maximum period of 24 hours, which starts from 12 hours after hijacking. That is some consolation.
Discounts of 3.5% on basic domestic fares and 5% on basic international fares can be yours if tickets are booked through Carlson Wagonlit or Sita Travels. Purchases made are insured against fire or theft, subject to a maximum of Rs 25,000 for 180 days from the date of purchase.
The card would cost you an entrance fee of Rs 300 and an annual fee of Rs 1,200. Annual fee for supplementary card is Rs 500 and add-on card is Rs 575.
The Standard Chartered Classic Card
Gives you an insurance cover of Rs 6,25,000 for air mishaps and a lakh for rail/road mishaps. Accidental deaths due to pedestrian/Motorcycle mishaps would fetch Rs 50,000, apart from all regular card benefits. The entrance fee is Rs 100 and annual fee is Rs 700 (from year 1). Annual fee for supplementary card is Rs 350 and add-on card is Rs 400.
The Standard Chartered Cricket Card
If you are in love with the red cherry, you should have this. For this card enables you to book tickets for international cricket matches from your city. And you get double reward points on any transactions made on the card on the day after India wins any one-day international match. Now, that is every now and then.
