Sahara Grace: Luxury residential complex at Kochi planned

Sahara Group has made its foray into the South Indian real estate sector by announcing a new residential complex, Sahara Grace, in Kochi, Kerala. After Sahara Grace at Gurgaon and Lucknow, the Kochi project is the third under this brand, which is positioned to provide a product mix of apartments and penthouses and many value-added facilities and amenities to its residents.

Sahara had, on April 3, 2008, conducted the bhoomi pooja for the residentail complex. Speaking after the event, a Sahara senior official said that the group has plans to start more than 20 such projects in South India in the next couple of years. The group also has plans to bring the Sahara brands of real estate projects to South India."

Commenting on Sahara Grace, Kochi he said, "Sahara Grace Kochi has been planned to provide residential units with lifestyle community facilities."

The project located at Kakkanad on the Seaport-Airport Road, offers residential and commercial facilities designed for high-income group customers. The project is spread over 14.72 acres and proposes to house 728 residential units. With a total built-up area of approximately 1,68,670 sq. meters the project comprises of a mix of two-to-four bedroom apartments, three & four bedroom duplex apartments, and penthouses.

The Sahara Grace complex would offer a variety of amenities, such as a clubhouse that is proposed to be built on a plot area of 4290 sq.meters with a swimming pool, health club, gymnasium, badminton court, billiards, snooker and TT facility, snack counter and kid's play area. Sahara Grace would also have a helipad, central water body with an artificial lake, gazebo and jogging track, multi-storied car parking, multi-level security system, piped gas facility, in-house fire control system, and rain water harvesting system.

As a safety measure for protection from earthquakes, Sahara Grace, Kochi, has been constructed at one level higher than the applicable seismic zone as per the specifications of Bureau of Indian Standards.

Sahara has developed commercial as well as residential projects which include townships, premium group housing projects, malls, retail spaces, hospitals, and hotels. Sahara is also credited with the development of Amby Valley City, near Mumbai.
