Virgin America, the low-cost airline based in California, the United States, and V Australia Airlines, the long-haul international airline owned by Virgin Blue Holdings, have and signed a US-Australia interline agreement that provides for “seamless travel” on the networks of each airline across their routes in the United States and on trans-Pacific routes.
The arrangement, which takes effect on June 8, 2009, will allow connecting passengers to buy interline tickets for travel between the United States and Australia through travel agents or through V Australia Airlines’ call centre at: 13 82 87 (from the US: 1-800-444-0260).
In a press release, David Cush, president and chief executive officer of Virgin America, said that, as of June 8, 2009, passengers would be able to book via the website www.vaustralia.com.au
