JetBlue Airways, the low-cost airline based in New York, the United States, is expanding its services from San Francisco International Airport by adding daily, direct flights.

The California based low-fare carrier Virgin America Inc., will start services from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles and San Francisco, from November 18, 2009.

The United States-based Northwest Airlines has received the license to fly to Vietnam.

Virgin America expanding its network along the west coast; it will have its airplanes now take off from the John Wayne airport from April 30.

Singapore Airlines, the national airline of Singapore, has decided to cut as many as 214 flights to Australia, China, Europe and India in response to what it calls the falling passenger numbers.
