Midwest Airlines and Virgin America, comparatively small airlines based in the United States, have won the highest scores among all the US-based carriers in the annual poll conducted by Zagat Survey.

Midwest Airlines, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the United States, has announced that it will add direct, seasonal service between Kansas City International Airport and Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, Florida; and between Milwaukee in Wisconsin and Fort Lauderdale in Florida from December 17, 2009, through April 19, 2010.

Midwest Airlines, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the United States, is grounding its entire fleet of 12 MD-80 aircraft, which account for about  one-third of its fleet, and laying off employees as part of its restructuring plans.
