Iberia Airlines, the national airline of Spain, has announced that it will set up a new airline, by 2011, in order to operate on its short-haul and medium-haul routes.

American Airlines, based in Fort Worth, Texas, the United States, and GOL Airlines, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, have signed a frequent flier pact that will give customers more choice and flexibility while booking a journey to Brazil.
