SpiceJet cargo flights have come to Goa. SpiceJet, India's low-cost airline, entered cargo flights operations in May 2008. Its cargo flights are already operating to Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata from 13 locations.
Emirates Airline plans to grow the number of flights across its network by 14 per cent in 2009, increasing cargo capacity by 17 per cent.
The worldwide airline industry suffered a “shocking” 22.6% fall in air cargo traffic in December 2008, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has said. This followed a 13.5% decrease in air cargo traffic in November 2008.
