Srinagar, Jammu Jet Airways flights from New Delhi and Mumbai announced

Jet Airways has started daily flights from New Delhi and Mumbai to Srinagar. The new flights are aimed to tap into the holiday season demand.

The new Jet flights to the state of Jammu & Kashmir are aimed to tap into the holiday flight rush. Jet Airways flight No. 9w 605 morning flight will leave New Delhi airport at 1115 in the morning and reach Srinagar at 1235, a flying time of 1 hour and 20 minutes. Jet Airways has deployed a Boeing 737 aircraft with dual-class configuration for the new Srinagar flight.

Jet Airways said the return flight 93 606 to New Delhi will depart Srinagar at 1310 in the afternoon and reach New Delhi at 1435. Jet Airways New Delhi-Srinagar flight tickets can be purchased online from the Jet Airways website or from travel agents.

Apart from the New Delhi-Srinagar-New Delhi Jet Airways flight, the company has also announced new flights by JetLite, its low-cost airline subsidiary. JetLite will operate its New Delhi-Srinagar flight with a stopover in Jammu airport. There will be daily flights. Departure time of the JetLite flight from New Delhi (Flight No: S2 165) airport will be 1020 in the morning, and arrival time at Jammu airport is 1125. From Jammu, the flight will take off at 1155, and
land at Srinagar airport at 1230.

The JetLite return flight (Flight No. S2 166) from Srinagar will depart at 1255 hours and reach Jammu airport at 1345. The JetLite flight will depart Jammu at 1415 hrs and arrive at New Delhi airport at 1535 hrs.

JetLite has also announced the launch of new flights in the Mumbai-Srinagar sector. JetLite flight No. S2 671 will leave Mumbai at 1120 hrs in the morning and arrive at Srinagar at 1400 hrs. This is a non-stop flight. JetLite Flight S2 672 will depart Srinagar at 1430 hrs and reach Mumbai at 1655 hrs. The Mumbai-Srinagar flying time is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. Jet Airways has not announced the ticket fares for its Mumbai-Srinagar and Delhi-Srinagar flights.

JetLite, the low-cost airline from Jet Airways was acquired in April 2007 from the Sahara group. It has 24 aircraft in its fleet, and flies to 28 domestic destinations and 2 international destinations: Kathmandu and Colombo). It has a total of 114 flights a day. The two airlines have a combined fleet strength of 111 aircraft with 498 daily flights.
