SriLankan offers free holidays to Indian kids

SriLankan Holidays, the leisure arm of SriLankan Airlines is offering Indian children a chance to enjoy four exciting tours of the island nation in a discovery of the country’s rich and varied diversity.

Valid from November 1, 2008, to January 31, 2009, the tours are ‘Holiday in   Colombo’, ‘Holiday on the Beach’, ‘Holiday in Negombo’ and ‘Holiday in Kandy’. A minimum of two adults purchasing the package can be accompanied by a maximum of two children (below the age of 12) who would share a room with them in Sri Lanka on these 3-day and 4-day holiday packages.

Operative out of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Goa, Kochi, Coimbatore, Calicut, Trivandrum, Trichy and Hyderabad these special packages include return airfare on SriLankan Airlines including Fuel Surcharge for the adult tickets, accommodation on Bed and Breakfast basis, airport and internal transfers, transportation by air-conditioned vehicle and English speaking chauffeur guide with a city tour of Colombo.

“The four tours have been specially created to bring children and their parents. A selected line of some of the best properties in Sri Lanka on the sunny southern and western coasts, in the central hill country and of course in the capital city are on offer” Amith Sumanapala, General Manager, SriLankan Holidays, said.

Shopping in Colombo is also part of the offer. With Christmas around the corner, bargain sales will be back as the city boasts of a number of shopping malls and boutiques ranging from middle to top end.

Beside, Colombo, famous for its Indian cuisine, has a good selection of Indian restaurants that serves Mughlai, North Indian, South Indian and other authentic regional Indian cuisine. Holiday time in Colombo is especially fun for children, with the island nation boasting of the Excel World children’s play centre and Leisure World.
