SpiceJet cargo flights from Goa

SpiceJet cargo flights have come to Goa. SpiceJet, India’s low-cost airline, entered cargo flights operations in May 2008. Its cargo flights are already operating to Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata from 13 locations.

Announcing SpiceJet Goa cargo flights, company’s Chief Commercial Officer Samyukth Sridharan said that cargo operations had always been a major source of extra revenue for SpiceJet. SpiceJet, he said, has exceeded its cargo target by 8% in the last fiscal year. Adding Goa as the 13th cargo station, he said, will definitely boost SpiceJet’s operations. He also said that SpiceJet is looking to double its target for this financial year.

“Currently SpiceJet cargo flights transport major commodities like garments, auto parts, pharma, flowers, and shrimps. We are carrying an average of about 85 tons per day which we aim to increase to 110 tonnes per day in the coming months,” he said.

SpiceJet currently operates 117 passenger flights daily to 18 cities: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bagdogra, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Guwahati, Goa, Hyderabad, Jammu, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Srinagar,
Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.

It has a fleet of 19 Boeings.
