SkyLounge, the business travel network headquartered in Delaware, United States, has launched a new platform.

SkyLounge has also added new features to the platform like mobile flight tracking to its networking tool, which would help eliminate problems that many members face daily, the company said in a statement.

Marcel van Gemerden, founder of SkyLounge, said in the statement that the new platform was designed it to make business travel more efficient, profitable and enjoyable.

According to him, SkyLounge’s new platform has better networking capabilities, business travel city reviews, flight tracking, news feed and a new trendy design.

The new platform covers 97 per cent of all commercial flights around the world and gives members a chance “to track arrivals and departing flights through virtually any mobile phone on the planet.”

The premium memberships start at $5.95 a month.

SkyLounge, which was launched in February 2008, said it had put in place flight tracking so that a person can also copy in an assistant or a travel agent by mobile phone or email who would also be informed of any changes.

The advantage of this, Marcel van Gemerden added, was that customers can take “proactive action” when they are either on board a flight or on their way to the airport regarding matters such as rescheduling appointments or re-booking connecting flight.

A customer also can send arrival information to anyone he chooses, thus helping him avoid needless waiting at the airport and paying huge parking fees.

SkyLounge claims that it is the only business travel network that gives customers “all tools in one place,” including networking opportunities.
