Paramount Airways has launched daily flights from Trivandrum to Pune via Chennai. Pune is Paramount Airways’ third center in the Western sector. Earlier, Paramount Airways launched daily flights from Trivandrum to Ahmedabad and Goa via Chennai.

Paramount’s inaugural flight on November 12, 2008, took off from Trivandrum at 5.30 pm and landed in Pune Airport at 10.10pm. The base fare of the Trivandrum-Pune flight is likely to be Rs 999.

The Trivandrum – Pune flights are aimed at business executives, traders, entrepreneurs and leisure travellers in Trivandrum.

Commenting on the Pune launch, Thiagarajan, MD, Paramount Airways said, “As part of our expansion strategy we have launched the Trivandrum – Pune sector today. This we believe will help our foray into the western region and we hope to replicate the success that we have achieved in the Southern market. Being a premium airline, we are certain that Paramount would receive a huge franchise from these key markets. This flight will be a convenient and comfortable option for Trivandrum flyers to Pune.”

Paramount Airways has said that its offering of brand new e-jets along with all the trappings of luxurious seat recline, ample leg space between seats and an ethnic signature cuisine will ensure that the airline is competitive and attracts discerning passengers. Passengers can book their tickets on the Paramount website by selecting their seat and menu while requesting any other special requirements.

The airline has also launched its frequent flyer program “Paramount Royale.” Besides routine upgrade and mileage redemption facilities, the program would also offer golf memberships, spa experiences and invitations for major cultural programs for its members. Paramount Airways said frequent flyers can now sign up for the newly launched frequent flyer program by registering online with www.paramountairways.com. All mileage earnings as per eligibility will be automatically logged to the passenger’s account.

Unlike other airlines, Paramount has always avoided the low-cost route, and stuck to business and first class operations. It has opted for slow growth which is why it can add new flights while other airlines are grappling with major losses incurred due to rapid expansion.

Paramount Airways operates in the Southern regions and has flights to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Coimbatore, Madurai and Tiruchi.
