Kochi-Sharjah daily flight from Jet Airways

Jet Airways, the private airline based in Mumbai in India, is starting daily flight between Kochi in the southern Indian state of Kerala and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 1, 2009.

The Kochi-Sharjah service will be the airline’s 4th daily flight to the Persian Gulf region from Kochi, Jet Airways said in a statement.

From September 1, 2009, to October 24, 2009, and from March 28, 2010, to October 30, 2010, Jet Airways Flight 9W 562 will take off form Kochi at 10.45 hours and land in Sharjah at 13.05 hours. In the return direction, Flight 9W 561 will leave Sharjah at 14.15 hours and reach Kochi at 19.45 hours.

Between October 25, 2009, and March 27, 2010, Jet Airways Flight 9W 562 will leave Kochi at 10.45 hours and arrive in Sharjah at 13:25 hours. On the return leg, Flight 9W 561 will depart Sharjah at 14.25 hours and land in Kochi at 19.45 hours.

Jet Airways says it will use a state-of-the-art Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the Kochi-Sharjah route.

The airline currently operates daily services from Kochi to Doha, Muscat and Kuwait.

Jet Airways now flies from different cities in India to 7 destinations in the Middle East region: Bahrain, Kuwait, Muscat, Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Jeddah.

The carrier had earlier announced that it will introduce daily flights between Hyderabad in India and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on August 16, 2009.

Jet Airways says it plans to launch flights to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia – the airline’s second service to Saudi Arabia- on August 6, 2009.
