Kingfisher Airlines has announced the launch of its new operations from Pune to Goa. The airline is all set to start direct flights from Pune to Goa, from July 1, 2009, six days a week. The Pune-Goa direct flights will not be operated on Saturdays.
Kingfisher Airlines has said that the Pune-Goa operations will be a part of the Kingfisher Red service, and will offer trademark Kingfisher services such as, complimentary hot food, beverages, reading material, frequent flier privileges and multiple check-in facilities, at low fares.
The Kingfisher Airlines’ Pune-Goa flight will depart from Pune at 12:00 pm and arrive in Goa at 1:15 pm.
The return flight, IT 2801, will depart from Goa at 1:45 pm and arrive in Pune at 4:50 pm.
Vice President-Corporate Communications, The UB Group, Mr. Prakash Mirpuri said, “I am delighted to announce the launch of Kingfisher Airlines’ new service from Pune to the popular tourist resort city of Goa. The launch of this route marks the first time ever that any airline is operating flights between these two cities.”
“With our competitive fares and excellent onward connectivity, we expect that these flights will offer tourists, corporate travelers, students and other leisure and casual travelers a convenient option,” he further added.
This new direct Pune-Goa flight will offer travelers from Goa an easier and more convenient way to get to Shirdi and neighboring holiday destinations like Lonavala, Khandala and Mahabaleshwar amongst others.
Kingfisher Airlines currently connects over 65 cities in India and has a fleet of 74 aircrafts. Kingfisher provides flying services under various categories, Kingfisher Class, Kingfisher First and now Kingfisher Red.
