Kingfisher Airlines Kolkata-Bangkok flights from August 14, 2009

Kingfisher Airlines plans to start Mumbai-Singapore and Mumbai –Honk Kong flights from September 16, 2009.The two flights will be part of the eight new routes that Kingfisher Airlines plans to add to its network.

The other six international flights are Delhi-London Heathrow, Delhi-Bangkok, Delhi-Dubai, Mumbai-Bangkok, Mumbai-Dubai and Mumbai-Colombo are the tha the company will launch their flights, by the end of 2009.

Flights to these routes will commence after October 2009, in the winter schedule, although, subject to approval of the Civil Aviation Ministry.

Kingfisher Airlines also plans to start Kolkata-Bangkok flights from August 14, 2009. The Kingfisher Red Service plans to make the most of the winter traffic after September 2009.

The Kingfisher Red flight will use the Airbus SAS-made A320 aircraft and will not offer any business class seats.

After starting a Kingfisher Red service between Bangalore and Dubai, this will be the company’s fifth low cost international service. Kingfisher Airlines also runs daily flights from Bangalore and Chennai to Colombo as also from Kolkata to Dhaka.

National Aviation Co. of India Ltd-run Air India, Jet Airways, and Thai Airways are three other services between Kolkata and Bangkok that Kingfisher Red Service will have to compete with.
