JetBlue Airways, the low-cost airline based in New York, the United States, is expanding its services from San Francisco International Airport by adding daily, direct flights.
In January 2010, the carrier will launch 2 daily, non-stop flights between San Francisco International Airport and Long Beach Airport in Los Angeles (thus making a total of 5 daily flights on the San Francisco- Los Angeles route); a second daily, direct service between San Francisco and Logan International Airport in Boston; and a second daily, direct flight between San Francisco and John F Kennedy International Airport in New York.
In a press release, JetBlue Airways also said that it is launching the flights between San Francisco and Fort Lauderdale in Florida, on November 17, 2009, as was announced earlier.
JetBlue Airways – the main hub of which is John F Kennedy International Airport in New York – announced that it is planning to start an additional direct service between Long Beach Airport in Los Angeles and Oakland in January 2010. The new flight will take the total number of flights on the Los Angeles-Oakland route to 4 daily.
Robin Hayes, chief commercial officer of JetBlue Airways, said in the press release that the airline “is proud to be expanding its operations in San Francisco” so that its “loyal customers are offered more flight options to their favorite destinations.”
Passengers on the proposed flights, Robin Hayes added, would enjoy the same in-flight features that JetBlue Airways already offers – such as more legroom in coach, free snacks and drinks that are unlimited, as well as wide choices for live entertainment.
