Jet Airways special return Economy, Premiere, First Class London fares launched

Jet Airways has introduced special return Economy, Première and First Class fares to London from several Indian cities, starting May 6, 2009. The special Economy fares are effective from May 11, 2009 to June 30, 2009.

To avail of the special fares, passengers will need to book their tickets by May 31, 2009.

The Mumbai-London special return Economy  base fare is Rs 11,990.

The special return Economy base fare for London flights from Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Pune via Mumbai is Rs 11,990.

The special return Economy base fare for the Goa, Nagpur, Rajkot, Trivandrum, Kochi, Coimbatore, Jaipur to London via Mumbai is Rs 12,500.

The special return Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jaipur flights to London via Delhi will cost Rs 12,500.

Meanwhile, the Jet Airways special Première return base fare for the Mumbai-London flight is Rs 89,000.

The Jet Airways special return Premiere base fare for flights from Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata via Mumbai to London is Rs 89,000, while the Delhi-London special Premiere return base fare will cost Rs 1,06,000.

The Mumbai-London and Delhi-London special return First Class base fare is Rs 1,71,000, available with immediate effect.

The base fares mentioned here exclude all surcharges and taxes.

Jet Airways said that the cost of the fare would be the same for passengers boarding from these 17 cities to reach New Delhi or Mumbai to board the international flight to London.

Mr. Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO, Jet Airways, said, “Jet Airways’ services to London are among its most popular. With the impending holiday season, we are confident of a further surge in passenger figures on the India-London sector with the introduction of these new special fares.”

In order to cash in on the holiday season, Jet Airways will also launch a Jet Airways Konnect service from May 8, 2009.

The no-frills service, operating two 737 and six ATR aircraft, will connect Mumbai with Bhopal, Udaipur and Ahmedabad at fares that are 10-15 per cent cheaper.

Jet Airways will also connect Chennai with Coimbatore, Madurai and Kochi and Bangalore with Pune and Mangalore.

“We are beginning operations of Jet Airways Konnect, our new all-economy, no-frills service, from tomorrow. The airfare will be 10-15 per cent lower on the new service compared to fares charged for our economy class,” Jet Airways, Chief Commercial Officer, Sudhir Raghavan said.

Jet Airways said that the only difference will be that Jet Konnect travellers will have to buy their meals on-board. As of now, both Jet Airways and JetLite offer meals to passengers on-board.

Mumbai-based Jet Airways flies to 63 destinations include New York (both JFK and Newark), Toronto, Brussels, London (Heathrow), Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo, Bangkok, Kathmandu, Dhaka, Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
