Jet Airways Bangkok-Gaya-Varanasi flight planned

Jet airways will launch new flights from Bangkok to Gaya and Varanasi from October 6, 2009. The flights will run twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. These flights will especially serve people from South East Asia who wants to visit the famous Buddhist pilgrimages in these destinations.

Starting October 6 to October 24, Jet Airways Flight 9W 69 will depart from Bangkok at 8:45 am and arrive at Gaya at 10:15 am. The same flight will then continue to Varanasi departing from Gaya at 11:45 am and arriving in Varanasi at 12:30 pm.

On the return leg, Jet Airways Flight 9W 70 will depart from Varanasi at 2:00 pm and arrive in Bangkok at 6:45 pm.

However, from October 25, 2009- March 27, 2010, the departure time of Flight 9W 69 will be 8:30 am instead of 8:45 am and the arrival of flight 9W 70 back in Bangkok will be at 6:35 rather than 6:45. Other timings and flight numbers remaining the same.

Gaya is the place where Buddha attained enlightenment whereas Varanasi is one of the oldest cities in the world.

Jet Airways in on an expansion drive, especially in the Gulf region.

On August 16, 2009, Jet Airways launched a daily Hyderabad-Dubai flight, taking the number of its destinations to the Gulf region to eight.

It currently flies to Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Riyadh and Dubai.

The airline also launched a four-times-a-week service to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from Mumbai, starting August 6, 2009.

Jet Aiways has plans to launch a Kochi-Sharjah flight from September 1, 2009.
