Dubai-based Emirates has launched a new Companion Offer scheme that would provide its passengers in the Chennai-Dubai route with a complimentary economy class return ticket for a companion.Emirates said that the offer was valid on flights EK533 departing from Kochi at 4.20 am and EK532 departing from Dubai at 9.35 pm.
The Emirates Companion Offer is valid till June 25th 2009. Emirates passenger can avail a return economy class ticket worth Rs 27000 from Chennai to Dubai.
To avail of the offer, the companions can return to Kochi independently, but they must fly together with the passenger on the Chennai-Dubai flight.
“At Emirates, we are always on the lookout for opportunities to enhance the benefit of our customers and the companion offer is one such initiative,” Emirates Vice-President (India and Nepal), Mr.Orhan Abbas said.
“We always receive an overwhelming response for our offers and this encourages us to introduce more such initiatives,” he added.
“Given the increase in demand for international travel and the forthcoming summer holiday season, we expect Chennai-based travelers to avail of our companion offer and make it a great success,” Emirates Sales Manager (Tamil Nadu) Mr. Sudhir Sukumaran said.
Emirates is the single largest international air carrier in India with 163 flights operating to Dubai from 10 different cities weekly.
Emirates has been in the news recently after taking delivery of Emirates SkyCargo’s first Boeing 777 Freighter at Boeing’s Everett facility, in the last week of March 2009.
The freighter went to Hong Kong, picked up cargo, and then went to Dubai.
Emirates, the national airline of Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, operates over 3710 passenger flights every week to 101 destinations, in 61 countries.
Emirates has been chosen as the Airline of the Year twice. It won the Worlds Most Hygienic Airline Vizexon award, in July 2008.
