Dubai-based Emirates Airline has announced a revision of fares to various destinations across its global network.
These competitive fares will be applicable for Emirates’ passengers travelling to destintions like Dubai, London and New York from Thiruvananthapuram with return Economy class airfares starting from as low as Rs. 15,490, Rs 35,000 and Rs. 43,990 respectively.
Emirates operates double-daily services from most of its Indian gateways to Dubai and from Dubai passengers can connect seamlessly to over 90 global cities. The new fares are available for all bookings made in India with immediate effect.
Orhan Abbas, Emirates Vice President, India and Nepal said, “Destinations like Dubai, New York, and London are popular with Indian business and leisure travelers. We believe it is the right time to revise our fares and pass on the benefit of lower fuel prices to our passengers. The fares will not only stimulate travel but also allow passengers to plan their journey in the months ahead. Furthermore this initiative reinforces our commitment to the Indian market.”
Apart from Dubai, London and New York, Economy class airfares to key destinations in Europe, North and South America, Africa, Far East, Australia and New Zealand have also been revised.
Emirates Airline has direct connections to over 21 cities in Europe and five key destinations in North America, while boasting an extensive African network which includes destinations like Johannesburg, Cape Town, Dar-es-Salaam, Lagos, Casablanca, Tunis, Algiers, Cairo and Nairobi from Dubai.
Emirates’ was the first international carrier in India to incorporate the fuel surcharge within the existing airfare and as a result does not quote a separate fuel surcharge. Emirates operates over 150 flights per week from its 10 Indian gateways.
The Dubai-based airline currently operates a fleet of 126 all wide-bodied aircraft, including 8 freighters to over 100 destinations across 6 continents. The fleet is among the youngest and most technologically-advanced fleet in the skies. The airline has invested in 58 A380s, and over 100 new-generation aircraft that feature the latest technology and composite materials, because these are more efficient to operate, produce less emissions, and offer travellers more comfort in the air. Emirates’ current order book stands at 168 aircraft, worth approximately US$58 billion.
