American Airlines, based in Fort Worth, Texas, the United States, will add seasonal service between Myrtle Beach International Airport in South Carolina and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas from April 6, 2010, through October 31, 2010.
The once-a-day round-trip flight will be operated by American Eagle, the subsidiary of American Airlines, using 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 regional jets aircraft.
American Airlines Flight 3306 will depart from Myrtle Beach International Airport daily at 4:25 p.m. and arrive at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at 6:25 p.m. In the return direction, Flight 3311 will leave Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at 12:15 p.m. and reach Myrtle Beach International Airport at 3:55 p.m.
Tickets for the new Myrtle Beach-Dallas/Fort Worth flights are already are on sale.
Media reports said that American Airlines, a subsidiary of the AMR Corporation, also will add service between Asheville Regional Airport in North Carolina and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas. American Airlines, however, is yet to make an official announcement about the new service between Asheville and Dallas/Fort Worth.
According to a report in The Citizen-Times newspaper, based in Asheville, North Carolina, American Airlines’ website AA.com has given fares for sale on the Asheville-Dallas/Fort Worth route.
Flights between Asheville Regional Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, the newspaper quoted the American Airlines website as showing, will be operated from April 6, 2010, through October 31, 2010. Like in the case of the service to Myrtle Beach, American Eagle will operate one daily round-trip flight between Asheville Regional Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, using the Embraer ERJ-140 regional jet having 44 seats.
The news agency Associated Press reported that American Airlines is planning to start non-stop flights between Reno-Tahoe International Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport from February 11, 2010. The new service will operate 4 days a week, using the 188-seat Boeing 757 aircraft.
At present, American Airlines operates 2 daily flights between Reno-Tahoe International Airport and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, using the 140-seat MD-80 plane. .
