Komal Singh, an airhostess with Air India, has been issued a charge sheet for breaking the airline’s conduct rule. Singh had filed a complaint against two pilots in the same airline for molesting her. “Airhostess Komal Singh has been issued a charge sheet for violation of conduct rule and for not complying with the company policy,” an Air India spokesperson said today.

On October 3, 2009, a mid-air scuffle broke out between Komal Singh and co-pilot Aditya Chopra and flight purser Amit Khanna, onboard a Sharjah-Lucknow-Delhi flight (IC 884).

In the FIR, Komal Singh said that she was molested by the pilots in the cockpit. On October 6, 2009, Air India formed an inquiry committee to investigate the scuffle. The committee comprised five members headed by  a senior woman official and a member of an NGO.

According to sources in the airline, Komal Singh has been punished for her talks with media which is against company policies.

She has also been charged for insubordination and disobeying seniors.

Flight purser Amit Khanna, who also had a fight with Commander Ranbir Arora and his co-pilot Aditya Chopra, has also been accused of the same charges.
