Air China will plans to start a new flight between Bangalore, the IT capital of India, and Shanghai, the business hub of China. The Shanghai-Tokyo-Bangalore flight will begin its operations before December 25, 2009. Air China had been planning to operate a flight to a South Indian city. Bangalore international airport has all the facilities to operate the Air China flight and many people from the IT field have started travelling to China since it is also an IT hub, added Sreeramaiah.
The state government expects the new Shanghai-Tokyo-Bangalore flight to bring introduce new business prospects and add to the number of tourists visiting the country.
Every year, nearly 1.5 million tourists from China visit India.
