Tata Starbus comes to Maharashtra

Starbus buses, from the Tata Motors stables, will soon run on Maharashtra’s road network.

The all-new Starbus range of buses, made at the the fully- automated Tata Marcopolo Motors (TMML) plant at Dharwad in Karnataka, are to be sold sold to customers as fully-built buses and coaches. Tata Marcopolo Motors is a joint venture between Tata Motors and Marcopolo of Brazil.

According to Tata Motors, the Starbus buses are ideal for all applications including transportation of school children, company staff, route bus and as a transport to route destinations. The Starbus range of buses come as ergonomically designed people movers and sport a round external body. Tata Motors has incorporated wider seats and comfortable back rests giving the interiors a comfortable look.

In a bid to provide best-in-class rides that offers enhanced passenger comfort, Tata Motors said it has unveiled the new range of Starbus buses with a new chassis and new body. The longer chassis ensures extra leg room including those occupying the last row of seats. Meanwhile, smoother rides have been ensured with the length and wheelbase extended.

Available in a number of designs, the Tata Starbus range of buses come with seating capacities ranging from 16 to 67 seats. The range includes Standard, Deluxe, Low Floor and Skool bus options. The company has incorporated unique features in each variant and put in place a variety of features. In addition to taking the space factor to the next level in the bus segment, the Tatas have made the bus bodies are made from high grade, high strength steel. This feature gives the buses the robustness needed to undertake long journeys too.

While the Starbus Standard will be made available in 16, 18, 20, 32, 54, and 67- seater configurations,and built to handle varying road conditions without compromising on passenger safety, the Starbus Deluxe allows inter-city travellers to commute quickly, comfortably and affordably between destinations. These variants are available in 18, 20, 28 and 35-seater configurations.

The Starbus Skool comes with as many as 19 essential features from the many others prescribed by the government. Made to provide safe and a comfortable journey for school children, the bus comes in a range of 17, 32 and 52 seaters. Meanwhile, the Starbus Low Floor incorporates a modern, low floor design and broad doors.

    why don’t tata manufactare air break bus in 407 twin tyre 26 seater?
